Re-read. I liked this book better than the previous one. There's still lots of pointless description, but the action scenes increased considerably. I keep getting this feeling that I'm reading a movie script rather than a novel...This installment was darker than 'Stoneheart', and that's probably why I liked it better. Also, we're finally getting to know the backstory of the main characters and are introduced to some interesting new ones.
